Today we got a call because a kid threw a toy car over a fence and it hit a person in the head. Yes, the person called 911 because they got hit by a car... a toy car. I love stupid people. Okay, I do not love them, but I am entertained by them. And they help keep me employed.
Also it should be noted that after we got there, the person's primary concern was not their health. It was that we talked to the parent of the child and made them make the child apologize to the person. WE ARE THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. We drove down the street in big red truck and medic unit, sirens blaring, horns honking with bright flashing lights for an emergency. We are not your teacher or a yard duty at the playground. We cannot make someone apologize to you because they hurt your feelings. Seriously.
