The only thing better than a Slurpee, is a FREE Slurpee. Today was July eleventh aka: 07/11. Free Slurpee Day! They had these little 7.11 oz Slurpee cups (pictured above) that you could just walk in and fill up and walk out with ... FOR FREE!!!
I was at work. In our little three square mile town we have four 7/11's. That is one every 0.67 square miles. I was able to make it to three out of four of them today. I found a new great flavor - Cherry Limeade Crystal Light. It was delicious and only 1/3 of the calories of a normal Slurpee. It will be a nice alternate to my staple - Cherry Coke*. I love slurpees.
*Please note that to achieve optimal Cherry Coke flavor ratio you must layer the two slurpee flavors appropriately. Start with Coke and alternate with Cherry for 5 layers (or a total of 3 Coke and 2 Cherry layers) that fill the container to the brim. This should be done with the clear dome already on. Once done, tap the bottom edge of the cup at a slight angle several times on hard surface to settle the Slurpee. Top off the newly found void space with one last dollop of Cherry.

oh.. i miss the days of slurpee runs in the morning with my dear friend Camille after seminary before school started. AHHHH!!!! I hardly ever get one now that I have a kid I have to lug out of the car. Why have they not invented drive through windows for 7-11?? ugh!!!
