When we worked at THF, Therese and I had many traditions. Watching the complete seasons of Alias on our computers. Exchanging stories about ridiculous things our boss did. Eating banana's foster with Bill. Watching co-workers drop like flies from the job. But best of all was walking down to the chinese food place to get away from THF. While all their food is not fantastic, their beef and broccoli is. Beef and broccoli, spicy, with white rice. I get the lunch special with the egg roll while Therese opts to exchange it for the hot and sour soup. While I no longer work there (smartest move I ever made), Therese has hung in there and moved up the ranks as more co-workers dropped. Now she is the boss. Sucker. Today we met up for lunch and I got to enjoy the delicious food and good company. Good times.
Therese is a good friend. When I moved back to DC, she drove cross country with me. We first headed to Utah where we stopped for a day and rode horses through the Rockies (thanks Clara). Next we continued onto Omaha and stayed for the night (thanks Sarah). Then we stopped for a day in Chicago where we went to a Cubbies game at Wrigley Field and sat in the bleacher seats. We also jumped the fences at the United Center to touch the statue of Therese's hero - Michael Jordan. Through all of these adventures we managed to get NO pictures - who does that?!? Apparently us.
The most awesomely bad part of our trip was the lunch stop in Wyoming. Somewhere in the middle of that rectangle state we were hungry for lunch and craving Chinese so we stopped at a chinese establishment in a podunk town. Little did we know we were stepping into the worst Chinese restaurant known to man. Seriously, worst Chinese food EVER. It was so sad.
But today was delicious as always.

I beg to differ Cam - the worst chinese food was from a little town in central Utah - the substituted soysauce for worchester sauce in the soysauce bottle! Yuck! Just ask dad!
