art

black colored pencil

After the last post I went through old backup disks trying to find an electric copy of that picture I painted of myself. I do not know where the original canvas is. Possibly in the closet of my room at my parents house, but more probably lost somewhere in my 20 moves since I lived in Houston. Regardless, while I was looking for an electric copy of the picture and I realized two things:

A. Those days were way before digital cameras were available to the general public. In the year 2000 I was quasi high tech because I had an Advantix (APS) film camera that let you take wide and panoramic shots. I was so cool.

B. I used to be a good artist. I loved Art School. If I had to go back to school to get additional higher education I would go back to Art School again. I had so much fun doing all those projects and learning from all the classes. While graphic design and photography come naturally easy to me, actual painting and drawing (other than cartoon-ish things) was/is really hard for me. But when I put time into it, I am not half bad.

So for your enjoyment and mine, here are the only three painting/drawing projects that I ever did well.
