clouds

It has been kind of a crappy day at work. My second to last patient decided that he did not like breathing, then he did, then he didn't, then he did, then he didn't, then he did. Seriously, make up your mind already. And my last patient is a frequent flyer drug seeker who was either having seizures or should get an Emmy. He even foamed at the mouth/nose and played postictal for a couple minutes. I was convinced he was having them. Then after we dropped him at the ER, I was convinced he was initially having them, followed by acting. And after a doctor said he was faking, I was not sure of myself at all. I hate not being sure of myself. I mean, I 18g IM'd the valuim and he didn't flinch! Now that is either real ALOC or real dedication to you drug seeking thespian trade. Either way it has left me frustrated.

The only moment of relief and peace I felt this afternoon was as we were driving back to the firehouse and there was the happiest, puffiest, white cloud just hanging out in front of us, all alone with a perfect sky blue background. There's something about clouds that is so peaceful and hopeful.
