clouds

Not having the greatest morning. Roommate problems, no not Ashley, we have another one. So I was feeling pretty crappy as I was driving into work. It had taken me forever to find my keys this morning and I was running late. I called Tom to warn him that I might not be there until 7am (which is technically right on time, not late. We just make it a habit of arriving 30 minutes early to relieve the prior shift) and he told me "Don't be late." Thanks Lt. That was really helpful.

I was listening to my current favorite CD (Jason Mraz) and the song Details in Fabric came on. I decided I really liked that song. As I was playing that song on repeat I remembered to look up at the clouds, because that usually helps lift my spirits. Through my front windshield I saw the scene above. The picture does not do it justice. It was whisping upwards and reflecting the sunrise. I was so intent on catching a picture of it for the blog I almost didn't look to my left to see the below.

What an awesome sunrise. It almost made me forget that I was also running late to work. Sometimes a nice present like this on a Sunday morning when you are feeling down makes you remember that there is a bigger picture. To step back, take a deep breath, and relax. Everything works itself out eventually.

Also as I was perusing the clouds I really liked the contrast of the telephone pole/lines and the birds against the sky.

Happy Sunday friends.
