snow!

Late post: this is actually from 12/5/09.

Today was the first snow of the year and it was awesome. In the morning it started dusting the trees but melted as it hit the ground. It didn't look like it was going to last long. I snapped a few pictures and went on with the workday. The cool thing is that the snow did not let up. It kept coming down! It was beautiful. After dinner a thick blanket of snow was covering everything, it was perfect packing snow. So I went to work. It was cold but so worth it.

Meet the little guy. He says hi. I had to work with what we had at the house and there were no trees around that I could steal branches from (at least no trees that were not within view of the surveillance cameras that monitor around the exterior of the station) so I used some celery from our fridge. No coal for the eyes so I used some frozen strawberries. A baby carrot for the nose. And, um, well, I could not figure out what to use for the mouth. So, uh, I ended up using (don't laugh) tater tots. The mouth is a line of tater tots. He likes tater tots.

Happy First Snow of the Season!
