Our normal Christmas Eve tradition is getting together with the extended family for a birthday party for Grandpa Shepley. Since he is not here to celebrate this year we had to find a new tradition. We wracked our brains but could not come up with
the great new tradition.
So this year, we gathered the immediate family at the house for dinner. After dinner we played games as a family. Then we gathered around the Christmas tree to read from the Bible of Jesus's birth. Before we could sing Christmas songs the boys decided to head out to help a neighbor put up a new basketball hoop for his kids. We girls hunkered down and watched a movie on the new flatscreen. After the movie the boys finally came home and we all went to bed.
