cookie exchange

I went to a cookie exchange yesterday. I debated doing some kind of fancy cookie for the exchange since it is Christmas. But luckily I thought about how busy this time of year is, so I opted to make the Peanut Butter Pretzel Chocolate Chunk cookies. I multiplied the recipe to make 7 dozen (6 dozen for the exchange and 1 dozen for our house). And then apparently the dough got busy while I turned my head because I ended up with 11-12 dozen. Yikes!

Twelve dozen!!! Delicious. Overwhelming. Yummy. Cookies. I took half of them to the party. The other half I left at home. I do not have a large tupperware container so I decided they were okay to leave out overnight until I could take them to peoples houses in the morning. I woke up today and sampled one for breakfast - they were like a rock! I cried. Okay, not really. But I was totally sad as I threw away 5 dozen cookies that 12 hours earlier were these yummy, moist, share-able cookies. SO. Lesson learned: Seal up your cookies in an airtight container. Just do it. Or you might cry.

I'm hosting a cookie exchange this weekend, and just may make these. Note taken about sealing them up. They look awesome!
