urban thanksgiving

Marrilee made this delicious turkey.

Today Merrilee brought together a group of our friends and deemed it the "Urban Family Thanksgiving". A totally true and appropriate name. With our families in California, Calgary, Washington state, Oregon, ect., your friends become your second family.

The spread was beautiful and so scrumptious. We ate till our stomachs hurt, sat around playing a game trying to digest, then brought the pain back by digging into dessert. It was a really nice Thanksgiving.

Tasha, Kim and I at the little kids table.

I am thankful for: the great friends I have here in DC, a job that I love, digital cameras, the non humid weather so I can wear my hair down, my MacBook, those who defend our country and protect our freedom, a supportive family, Swiss Orange Sherbert, my religion, blogs to keep up with my friends and cousins, a car that runs well, the DVR, friends from high school that will be my friends forever, low gas prices, actually getting along with and genuinely liking all of my family members, gum, my windwall fleece jacket, target, the beach, making pretty desserts, a solid job, hope.
