smoke burns

Today I took a Fire class and learned that you could actually control where the fire in the burning building went. Ingenious! I always thought that fire was an unpredictable thing that you just took your chances with. Luckily I was wrong. I learned how to figure out where the fire is inside a building and how it is moving based on smoke and flames in doors/windows. I learned how to control its path and a great new way to put it out working smarter instead of harder. The stuff I was taught was so logical. This is the first time that firefighting has made a whole lot of sense. Too bad the gentleman teaching, John Taylor, is from Britain and Americans do not fight fires this way. Maybe I want to be a firefighter in Britain... kidding Mom. I have one more day of this class tomorrow and I am excited to go back.
