Sorry my posts have been not been groundbreaking lately, but as the end of the stress of Paramedic class nears, every day is a good day. Today after a meeting at work, I headed up to see Erika, Ella & baby Jane. Because I could. Because I have the time to hang out with people again.
I love hanging out with Erika. She is married with two kids, but she is still in tune with the single girl in her. We have a fun time chatting, she is my favorite person to have girl talk with. Remember when we were roommates and we shared the entire top floor master bedroom? Two separate walk-in closets, two seperate sinks/vanities, and huge bathtub, a shower, balcony and vaulted cealings? That was the greatest room ever. Erika and I peaked as to our living spaces in our mid 20's.
Ella is getting older every time I see her. Which is good because when she was younger it took her literally hours to warm up to me. Now it is just a minute or two. She is funny and silly and still little enough that you can throw her around to make her giggle. She sings along to David Gray and wobbles her head like him. So cute. And she has plastic Snow White figurines which she calls "Hi Ho"s (like the song the dwarfs sing). I think she also loves them because her Dad gave them to her.
Jon is great and Ella adores him. I get a little nostalgic watching them play together. I wonder if it was similar to the relationship my Dad and I had when I was a little girl. Ella and I are both the oldest and think our Dad's are the greatest. Jon kind of reminds me of my Dad; he is very kind, even keeled and cracks dorky funny jokes.
Can't leave out Jane. She is little and cute and would not go to sleep for her Mom. She has the chubbiest little cheeks and her breath smells just like watermelon Jolly Ranchers. Okay. Not really. But Erika swears it does. She cracks me up. I love that little family.

What a nice post...man, we're lucky to have you. Yes, I think of that room and the HUGEST closet I'll probably ever have (I LOVED it!). Thanks for finding that place for us...and making it so that we had great rent! I'm looking forward to hanging out more (and Ella's looking forward to fun Camille returning!)when you're all finished with school. OH, and can't wait for our next girl talk!
