Day 3 contunied:

Sugar. We ate lots of sugar this weekend.
I think I only had one real meal a day, the rest was reception food (sugar).
After eating some linner at home with the wedding crowd and sitting down for 0.5 seconds, I headed with my mom to the chapel to get ready for the reception. We made beautiful water with lime, lemons, orange slices and raspberries in large glass infusion jars. It was so pretty, and tasted oh so lovely. Then my job was to wash mint, individually pluck off the leaves and dry then so they could sit under half of a strawberry on the cheesecake. I did this for an hour and a half. In heels. It was painful. The Lomas' came and helped set up; they were lifesavers. Then Alice and Kateria with the chocolate fountains and finally Aunt Kathleen with the mint brownies. It was a feast of desserts. The reception got started, I kicked off my shoes and enjoyed the company.
I was able to catch up with old friends, including two of my favorite people (pictured below). I was lucky to grow up with great friends. Lauren and Sarah MNBD who I got to catch up with at the reception, Sarah LDB who has been living right by me, and Clara who is exiled to Utah forever. We've all been friends since we were 5 years old. Sarah LDB would argue that timetable, but I am sticking to it.
The reception was really nice. There unfortunately was no cake inappropriately stuffed in the newlyweds mouth. I got out of the bouquet toss by holding a baby and hiding. The couple was beautiful as uasual. I wish I had more pictures to post of the reception, but I was so busy talking that I forgot to take many pictures.
Tamarin and I were sent on an errand near the end of the reception and by the time we got back, exhausted from the days activities and still not showered, the parents/friends/relatives had taken everything down and were all packed up. The Millers were saints, sent us all home and the two of them stayed to finish cleaning the kitchen. My mom has some great friends.
Kristin and Clay left the reception, headed to the Marriott for the night, came home the next morning to open presents and then left for their honeymoon in Maui.
