Danielle's Figure Contest

Saturday, Oct. 9th

For the last 3 months my friend Danielle has been prepairing for the Charm City Classic Figure Contest. She has been on a crazy strict food regimen and been working out 2-3 times a day to get ready for the competition.

A few of us made the treck up to Baltimore for the competition. Danielle for sure had the loudest cheering section in the place. I have to admit that I was a little uncomfortable about going to a contest where everyone just watched women in bikini's flex, but it was actually a fun event. Everyone there was a friend of a competitor, cheering and supporting their friends who had worked so hard for the contest. The atmosphere was really fun and friendly.

Danielle's hard work paid off as she took 2nd place in her height bracket and 5th place in the open. After the competition she directed us to go straightaway to Vaccaro's in Little Italy and get her some sugar asap.

Also today I got to go up to the Cylburn Arboretum for Maggie's baby shower. Some of her B-more friends hosted it. The weather was perfect; you could not have asked for a better day. Maggie was thoroughly embarrassed as we introduced ourselves and said why we loved Maggie. Her friend also made some delicious dips, Carmel Cream Cheese Dip for apples and Cilantro Jalapeno Ranch for tortilla chips. It was fun to see cute preggo Maggie and I can't wait to meet her future little girl.
