REI

my new toys

I am like a kid in a candy store. I want one, no two (maybe three) of everything in the REI store. Things I had in my hot little hands this morning but did not purchase: A cool crank flashlight, never needs batteries or a replacement bulb! An ice cream ball, for sure I needed that. Another Nalgene bottle, you can never have enough. Some carabiners, you know, to hold stuff. I always need more stuff to hold stuff with.

While I practiced a moderate amount of self control and put those items back, I still managed to get out with a great stash of goodies: (starting at bottom left, going clockwise) An awesome dinner set. The cutest Nalgene bottle splash guard, to keep the water in my mouth and off of my shirt. Mosquito spray with 30% deet. A cool two in one salt/pepper shaker. A head lamp with a cute flower band. And, drum roll please, a new Camelbak. My old one only holds a camera, cell phone and two powerbars in its pocket part. This one has 873 cubic inches of storage space in the backpack (on top of the 2 liter bladder). I have no idea what that cubic inch number means spatially, but the backpack part is big enough to hold a TON of stuff. I am so excited to use it.

Ahhh, REI. You have everything I never knew I needed.

yes, so many fun things there. Was there a couple weeks ago finding all sorts of ideas for Christmas. (Yes, you heard it right, I plan WAY ahead!) Looks like you came out with a pretty good stash.
