kite festival

After the 29 degree morning, the weather got a little better and the Berget crew (minus Chris) invited me to go into the District for the Kite Festival.

Armed with two kites we gathered on the mall between the Washington Monument and the White House. We started out with the beginner kite, it was a owl with long green ribbons attached to its tail. Carson liked watching it and chasing it but did not want anything to do with flying it.

I am so sad that this picture is blurry because I love it. Look how excited Carson is flying the kite with his mom.

Ethan didn't do any kite flying. Which is expected I guess, he is just a baby. But look how big he is in comparison to last year.

Taking a time out to snack. What a fun day!

After the break we put together the big guy. It flew great! When the wind was up. And when I didn't get it tangled in other peoples kites. Oops. This ended our excursion into DC for the Kite Festival.

how fun - it reminded me of the San Ramon kite festival in the spring. Is the big kite yours? It looks really cool! Tell Sarah she is looking great! I'm glad she is back there with you again.
