new year

I like the new start of the new year. I know there are a lot of haters out there, but I think new years resolutions are great. For example last year one of my resolutions was to take the EMT-Paramedic class. And I did it. Granted, that was my resolution for the last two or three years but I feel okay about that. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. So some of my resolutions this year and new, and some are reoccurring. I will give you the short list - in no particular order:
* Pass the EMT-Paramedic Exam.
* Get my Firefighter 2 certification.
update 01/06: the above is a very fluid goal, depending on how work is treating me

* Bake less.
* Rock climb more.
* Buy the jacket pictured above.
* Pay tithing at more frequent intervals than bi-yearly.
* Go to the temple at least once a month.
* Visit teach every month.
* Go on a date.
* Go on a family vacation and a friend vacation.
* Clean my room.
* Learn what different spices taste like.
I think I can do most of those. I have had that last one on my list for a couple (or five) years. I know what a few spices taste like (cumin and basil) but I would like to be able to know what the chicken would taste like if I added marjoram. What is marjoram? Or since they were able to catch thyme in a bottle, would it be good on roast baby potatoes with a little olive oil and garlic? Can I take a class for this?

Welcome new year, new start, glad you are here.

I like your resolutions! Especially the coat one. I love it! Go athleta :) So how frequently are you going to clean your room? Or do you just have to do it once per year? ;) Sorry I never got over there to really help you organize it. Maybe you should just save that part until I move back there again! the thyme/rosemary with potatoes is great-roast them in the oven and serve with steak! mmmmmmm...... we should have taken a cooking class together

Good list...I still haven't gotten around to making one. Maybe that's because Jon's a "hater" and when I mention it, he tells me I don't need a new year to make changes and do things. But, surprisingly, this year he said we should make some resolutions...financial of course! That's my husband and I love him for it. Now, I need to just get my personal list together..
