redbud

This is a redbud tree. Although sometimes it looks pink. And sometimes it looks purple. Although I am going to call it fuchsia.

It is made up of thousands of unremarkable little flowers that on their own are nothing to write home about. But when they band together they are magnificent.

They pop out of whatever background they are against. They are my favorite flowering tree this spring. I go through phases. Last year it was the Dogwood. The year before it was Cherry Blossoms.
