cupcake bites

After slaving over the cupcake pops, I swore I would never make them again. So I didn't. Say hello to cupcake bites (ala Bakerella of course).

Hello!
These little guys are way easier to make then their cousin the pop. And they are just as cute. I know you can't tell, but are slightly smaller than a golf ball.

Yum. I made two kinds: red velvet/cream cheese and chocolate/chocolate. I like them both. Can anyone tell me what flavor red velvet cake is? I cannot for the life of me figure it out.

It is our secretary Angel's birthday tomorrow and ever since I brought her a cupcake pop, from Ashley's b-day, she has been in love them. So I decided that instead of a cake I would make her cupcake bites. She does so much for us, she is the heart of the station. She puts up a Christmas tree in the day room in December so it feels like Christmas in our firehouse.

So when she opens up the cake box... instead of a cake... there will be a million of these little guys. I think she will be excited.

I want one! They look SO good...I think I'm going to have to stay away from that blog because it sounds like she has a lot of cute not-so-good for you treats that I'd HAVE to try. OH, and isn't red velvet some sort of Chocolate cake with dye?
