chocolate orange bundt cake

Maria: What is it? Harriet: Its a bundt.

Maria: A bun? Harriet: A bundT.

Maria: A bondt? Harriet: BUNDT BUUNDT!!

Maria: I know, its a cake-y!….(to friend) there’s a hole in this cake.

name that movie...

For the party last night I made another cake from Smitten Kitchen that had been catching my eye. I was intrigued by the combination of chocolate and orange, especially during the holiday season when those lovely chocolate oranges are prevalent. Plus I wanted drizzle ganache again and reminisce about the CPBC that I have just recently stopped jonsen for.

The Chocolate Orange Bundt Cake was good. It was an interesting twist on the traditional bundt cake. The orange was not too strong, as I was worried it would be, and the chocolate was a yummy compliment to the sweet citrus pastry. If you are looking for something new and interesting for your tastebuds, you should try it. My only change to the recipe was I left out the coffee granuals in the ganache. And next time I will use milk chocolate for the ganache, the semi-sweet was a little too bitter. Otherwise it was great as written by Deb.

Pretty outside, yummy inside.
